Pampering with a Purpose

On December 26, 2005, Melissa Marantz Nealy lost her battle with a degenerative neuromuscular disease at the young age of 28.  In the last stages of Melissa’s life, she relished in and found valuable respite from in-home beauty treatments, which allowed her to continue expressing her vibrant and outgoing personality even though her body limited her ability to do so.

Melissa’s sister Wendy and cousin Alicia, inspired by Melissa’s continuous zest for life and the joy brought by her in-home beauty services, vowed to honor her memory by bringing the same pampering experience and sense of self-esteem to patients and their caregivers who were unable to access salons or spas due to illness.

In 2009, Beauty Bus Foundation was established as a non-profit organization in Los Angeles. Beauty Bus Foundation delivers dignity, hope and respite to chronically or terminally ill men, women and children and their caregivers through beauty and grooming services and pampering products.
